About
Léo Beaumier Perras
I was born in Longueuil and grew up in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, near Montréal.
I remember being touched by music from a very young age. Since I really hated school, music came to me as a way of escaping a reality I didn't always like, a way of being somewhere else. I started writing music at the age of 13 and would get through that process the freedom and intellectual pleasure I needed.
Because when you create, in this case music but it's true in all forms of art, you're free. Free to tell the story you want to tell, how you want to tell it, free to shape reality as you wish, free to make people dream as you wish.
At the age of 17, I started writing music for short-films. I am mostly into orchestral music and world music, and I especially love to mix them together.
I also occasionaly write songs.
I've been based in Berlin since 2018.
